I ordered this product because I don't really know how to sew, so I wanted something that was easy and affordable. In a way, that worked against my favor because the item checked out on me one night and me and my friend were having issues with the bobbin. We were at it for hourssssss until finally I said "I'll just return it for another one." So I did and haven't had any issues with it.
What I do recommend is using thin/light fabrics. This isn't meant for fleece or anything like that. But it's perfect for learning and making light items. I've made a lace headband and plan on making chiffon skirts and cotton tanks.

I'm very happy with this sewing machine. I haven't used a machine in years so I needed one that was simple to operate. It came with a nice kit full of string, scissors, bobbins, etc... and I was able to get it up and running fairly easily considering I'm out of practice. I don't have the space for a large one so this one is perfect for me. I like the fact that you can use so many different stitch types which was a quality the other small sewing machines I researched lacked. I've used it on several small projects and so far haven't had any problems.

functional? yes.. VERY basic.. easy to use.. not great quality.. (then again it is cheap.. seems flimsy.. tension keeps messing up.. Ive had it for 2 weeks.. 2 blankets and a dress later I am DEF saving for a better machine. This can get you by but if you have a hobby of sewing this isnt for you.

I have owned this machine for several weeks now and it performs beautifully. The stitches are perfect, but more importantly, I do a lot of quilting and own several sewing machines. This machine drops the feed dogs and performs free motion quilting the best of any machine I've ever owned ... and that includes top of the line very expensive machines. If you like free motion quilting, this machine will do it without any problems.
The only feature I would add on this machine is the up/down button ... I wish it had that feature ... but even at that, this machine is worth every penny I paid for it.
I am very happy with this machine and I have absolutely no problems or hesitation in giving it 5 stars in rating. I have been using this machine and I know what it can do and what to expect of it.

I wanted this machine so bad. My dad and I have been sewing with Singer machines forever however we have been sewing on old machines ; so when I received this machine I expected the same quality.But this machine feels like cheap plastic. The bobbin shakes during sewing and the machine is loud. The quality has defenitly gone down. It is beautiful design. Simple to operate but not for the serious sewer.exchanging for a Viking.

I can not express how pleased I am with this machine. I've had it about 2 weeks and it does everything I expected, and so much more than I dreamed with a machine in this price range. Yes a lot of it is plastic. Not the important parts. Also lighter weight than the all metal ones. The instructions could be written in individual languages which would make the manual larger but easier to comprehend. All the instructions are there though. To make button holes all you have to do is change the presser foot and push one button. With the needle returning to the upright position when stopping you need to lower the needle to do tight turns but for straight stitching it is a great feature. With a new grandchild on the way I plan on getting much more use of this machine. Happy Sewing
