It's easy to understand and use. It's not an intimidating machine at all. I'm an adult beginning sewer, learning by reading books and practicing. I find it's perfect for my needs. I don't foresee myself becoming a sewing maniac but I like being creative and just making or repairing things. As a result, a machine like this totally fits my needs and the adorable Hello Kitty design helps make the work even more fun.Update 02/20/2009: I turned into a sewing maniac after all! As a result, I discovered the limitations of this machine and eventually bought a full-size Janome electronic sewing machine that I'm very happy with.
