I use it primarily for quilt piecing. It's a wonderful weight for carrying to classes. This is not a machine you can use for everything, but is a good second machine.Very nice for lightweight sewing. Amazon was easy to order from & satisfied all my requirements. 12 of 13 people found the following review helpful This review is from: Janome 3128 Sewing Machine (Electronics) I love janome; I have 3 (2 sewing and 1 serger). This is a great machine, well built and very easy to use, especially for a beginner. It does not jam and runs great. I hadn't sewn in years when I bought this and the instructions were very straightforward and the machine was simple enough for me to use that I have been able to produce several items. It's lightweight and small which makes it easy to store. Pros: works well, is quiet, easy to use, light weight, compact, has extra storage built in, comes with cover and carrying handle...
